August 14, 2026: The Colorado Juvenile Parole Board (JPB) is a nine-member board appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate. The mission of the Colorado Juvenile Parole Board is to promote public safety by using statutory criteria in the best interest of the juvenile and victim when reintegrating juveniles into the community.
The Juvenile Parole Board (the board) is seeking applicants to fill two public-at-large vacancies and three department vacancies. Candidates must be Colorado residents and meet criteria of at least one of the positions below:
- Representative from the department of education; or
- Representative from the department of human services; or
- Representative from the department of public safety; or
- A member from the public-at-large (two vacancies)
Ideal candidates are individuals interested in making parole decisions that balance the best interests of the youth, the victim, and the community. We encourage applicants from rural, rural resort, and tribal communities to apply to the board.
