Join the Child Support Commission

March 10, 2026 — The Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) is seeking passionate individuals with experience with the child support system to serve on the Governor-appointed Child Support Commission. The Commission is tasked with reviewing the child support guidelines used to calculate a parent’s child support obligation every four years and making other legislative recommendations to improve the efficacy and responsiveness of the program. Commissioners are appointed to four year terms and the Commission currently meets virtually once per month.

The Commission is currently looking for members for the following positions: 

  • Parent representative (Child support obligor)
  • Parent representative (Child support obligee)
  • Interested party
