About Us

The Colorado Commission for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind Advisory Council (CAC) was created through 26-21-104, C.R.S. The CAC advises the Enterprise and state agencies (including CDHS) regarding the provision of services and resources for the deaf, hard-of-hearing, and deafblind community.The CAC is made up of seven members appointed by the Governor as follows:

  • One member who is deaf;
  • One member who is hard of hearing;
  • One member who is a professional working with individuals in the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or DeafBlind communities;
  • One member who is a parent of a Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or DeafBlind person;
  • One member who is Late-deafened;
  • One member who is an auxiliary services provider for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or DeafBlind communities and who is qualified to use at least one of the titles listed in section 6-1-707, C.R.S.; and
  • (g) One member who is DeafBlind.

Meeting Materials

The commission holds quarterly meetings on the first Wednesday in March, June, September, and December.
